Parsing guide
Phrase highlighting shows how the teʿamim break each verse. Disjunctive accents mark pauses; conjunctive accents join words inside each phrase. Colours show the strength of each break.
- Emperor (level 1): silluq / sof pasuq, etnaḥta
- King (level 2): tipḥa, the zaqef family (zaqef gadol, zaqef qatan), the segol family (segol, shalshelet)
- Duke (level 3): tevir, the pashta family (pashta, yetiv), reviʿi, zarqa
- Count (level 4): the geresh family (geresh, gershayim), munaḥ legarmeh, telisha gedolah, the pazer family (pazer, qarnei farah)
A zigzag separator marks a paseq: a pause after a connecting accent. That helps distinguish munaḥ + paseq from munaḥ legarmeh.
